ABOUT OPERA.

Texas is one of five states in the South Central Region of the National Federation of Music Clubs supporting Opera in the Ozarks/Inspiration Point Fine Arts Colony (OIO/IPFAC). We raise funds for general operations and for scholarships to attend this nine-week opera camp designed for career-minded students.

Other states in the South Central Region include Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri.

Victoria began oboe lessons at age 11 and vocal training at age 16. She has toured and performed in Texas, New York, Canada, Alaska and soon, Korea. During her time at WTAMU, Victoria has participated in many ensembles including Marching Band, Symphonic Band (First Chair), Chorale (President and Vice-President), Symphony Orchestra (First Chair) and Opera Workshop. She was the featured guest artist for the school’s annual Christmas Concert that was aired on PBS. Victoria has served as secretary for two years and most recently, president of the student music therapy organization.
